Progressive Independence
Independence grows through everyday life
The things that build confidence and independence don’t happen in a classroom. They happen while making dinner, catching the bus, doing the weekly shop, starting a job or keeping a tenancy. We support people inside their real routines — and we measure what changes, step by step.

Your life is where progress happens
“I went shopping” holds planning, choosing, budgeting, asking for help, paying safely and putting things away. Beneath an ordinary day, there can be so much more happening. We see the layers — and we record them.
Practice for real life
Real life isn’t ideal conditions. The bus gets delayed. The shop has changed its layout. Something is cancelled. We practise these variations safely, so a changed day doesn’t become a lost day. (We never create unsafe surprises just to test someone.)
Progress you can see
Every step is recorded as it happens — not written up afterwards. And because we measure the level of support each step needs, families don’t get vague reassurance. They get a simple, honest picture: a line that shows confidence and independence growing over time. Sometimes the line stays steady — and that’s progress too.
Progress does not always mean needing less support
For some people, success is keeping confidence, connection, routine and stability exactly where they are. Our progression maps honour that. Maintaining is a goal. A steady line is a proud line.
